Assalamualaikum Stylistas of Abaya Suraya!
I was assigned by Dara.com's reporter, Allahyarhamah Aida Rofiza (Kak Ida) to do the make-up for another beauty spread in the magazine specially catered for Muslimahs (specifically for the Muslim women who wear hijab or the head scarf). For those who do not know, Muslimah actually means female Muslims, regardless the fact that they wear the hijab or not.
As usual, Dara.com would give ordinary girls out there the chance to experience the make-over by the touch of a make-up artiste to appear in the magazine. My model this time, she works at Celcom in Damansara. Her name is Khalifah but she prefers to be called as Kelly. Seriously, I think the name Khalifah is awesome but it's her name so it's up to her to be called whatever she likes. :D
I was given full freedom to do whatever type of make-up I like, as long as the new image will be a more beautiful version of her. As usual, I love to play with the eye area, and gave a serious focus on the skin, because I believe that beautiful make-up starts with beautiful skin (yes as Shu Uemura campaigned it) and I love to enhance the beauty of the eyes. It's just logical because everytime we look at someone's face we will look into his or her eyes first, and yes usually whenever we notice there's a beautiful girl nearby, her smooth complexion would be the first factor that attracted us first. Anyways I was ecstatic that one of the editors at Karangkraf as well as a famous radio DJ and author, Richie Rachman complimented my work this time. =)

Sue telah ditugaskan oleh wartawan Dara.com, Allahyarhamah Aida Rofiza (Kak Ida) untuk menyolek bagi satu lagi ruangan kecantikan bagi majalah khusus untuk Muslimah berhijab ini.
Seperti kelazimannya, Dara.com memberi peluang kepada gadis biasa di luar sana untuk mengalami tatarias oleh jurusolek dan muncul di dalam majalah. Model Sue pada kali ini bekerja di Celcom, Damansara. Nama beliau ialah Khalifah namun lebih gemar dipanggil Kelly. Serius Sue rasa nama Khalifah itu cukup hebat, tapi itu nama beliau jadi terpulanglah padanya. =D
Sue diberi kebebasan untuk membuat apa saja jenis solekan, asalkan lebih cantik dari wajahnya tanpa solekan. Seperti biasa, Sue suka bermain di kawasan mata, dan memberi fokus serius pada kulitnya kerana Sue percaya solekan yang cantik bermula dengan kulit yang cantik (ya seperti yang dilaungkan oleh Shu Uemura) dan Sue juga suka menambahkan kecantikan bahagian mata. Ia logik kerana apabila seseorang betermu buat pertama kali, mereka akan memandang mata dahulu, dan ya apabila kita memerhatikan gadis yang cantik, kulit wajah yang licin dan halus merupakan tarikan utama. Sue juga teruja pada hari itu kerana salah seorang editor Karangkraf, juga DJ radio dan penulis terkenal, Richie Rachman memuji hasil kerja Sue.
