Assalamualaikum Stylistas of Abaya Suraya!
This was the bridal make-up job I had to attend when I was involved with a minor accident at DUKE Highway. Lucky for me, I left home early with the intention not to rush, and when the accident took my time, I ended up being just on time to do my make-up on the Bride. I was so grateful that she did not panic when I informed her about the accident, you know in case I will be late to do her make-up, so I felt so much more relaxed to do my best.
The Bride is a graduate from IIUM as well, but from the Kulliyyah of Architecture (KAED), wed her sweetheart a graduate from the US. She first and foremost informed me that she never puts on make-up, thus she did not want to look like a different person on her wedding day. She wanted it to look as natural as possible. I agreed with the client's request but the key is she must look gorgeous, and there is no compromise to that. When she was done, her husband complimented her though she was still quite unsure of her look. Personally I think she looked so sweet and gorgeous especially in her wedding apparel that was made using lovely colours and had an English touch which was suitable with the Garden Wedding theme.
Alhamdulillah, the next day, she SMSed me informing that her friends and family complimented her look that night, saying that she looked different but beautiful. That was enough to give me a brand-new smile. =)

Ini merupakan tugasan solekan pengantin di mana sebelum itu Sue terlibat dengan satu kemalangan kecil di lebuhraya DUKE. Nasib Sue baik kerana Sue meninggalkan rumah lebih awal dengan niat tidak mahu terburu-buru, maka apabila kemalangan itu memakan masa Sue, Sue tiba sedang elok untuk menyoleknya dengan waktu yang cukup-cukup. Sue bersyukur kerana Pengantin ini tidak cemas apabila Sue memaklumkan tentang kemalangan itu, yalah tak mustahil jika beliau risau Sue akan lewat menyoleknya, maka Sue berasa lebih tenang untuk melakukan yang terbaik.
Pengantin ini merupakan graduan dari UIAM juga tetapi dari Kulliyyah Seni Bina (KAED) telah bernikah dengan teman lelakinya seorang graduan dari Amerika Syarikat. Beliau awal-awal telah memaklumkan Sue beliau tidak pernah mengenakan sebarang solekan maka beliau tidak mahu kelihatan seperti orang lain di Hari Perkahwinannya. Beliau mahu kelihatan sesemulajadi mungkin. Sue bersetuju dengan permintaan pelanggan asalkan beliau tetap akan kelihatan jelita, anggun dan Sue tiada kompromi untuk itu. Apabila beliau telah siap, suaminya memuji kecantikannya namun beliau masih ragu-ragu. Secara peribadi Sue merasakan beliau kelihatan manis dan jelita, khususnya setelah menyarungkan busana berwarna indah yang mempunyai sentuhan Inggeris sesuai dengan tema Perkahwinan di dalam Taman.
Alhamdulillah, keesokan harinya, beliau telah SMS Sue memaklumkan keluarga dan sahabat-sahabatnya memuji penampilannya pada malam itu, menyatakan beliau kelihatan berbeza namun cantik. Itu sudah cukup untuk membuatkan Sue tersenyum. =)
